What is Tao Calligraphy?

Chinese calligraphy is an ancient practice revered for its meditative and healing benefits. Tao Calligraphy is a special form of calligraphy writing created by Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha that integrates the ancient practice with Yi Bi Zi, a one-stroke, Oneness writing with Tao Light and messages of the Greatest Tao qualities of love, forgiveness, compassion and much more. Tao Calligraphy writing carries frequencies and vibrations that can offer blessings, healing, and benefits for those in its presence and through tracing and writing. Tao Calligraphy brings together the Taoist principles of following the Way, uniting humanity and Heaven, and cultivating health and longevity with the power of soul, heart, mind, and body.

Master Sha first learned the ancient form of single-stroke Yi Bi Zi calligraphy from the 106-year-old Professor Li Qiu Yun, who learned the art from Tai Shi (太师 ), the teacher of the emperor’s and royal family’s children during the Qing Dynasty, the last imperial dynasty in China. Upon mastering Yi Bi Zi, Master Sha created his unique Tao Calligraphy. The State Ethnic Academy of Painting, China, has given the highest honors to Master Sha with appointments to the positions of National Chinese Calligraphy Dr. and Professor, Honorable Researcher Position, and National and Overseas Board of Advisors Consultant. On March 18, 2017, a very successful opening of an exhibit of Master Sha’s Tao Calligraphy was held at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing and was attended by numerous well-respected government officials and artists.
